I am a money manager and focus on managing retirement plans for everything from publicly traded companies to mom and pop stores. Here is a strategy that has worked very well for myself and my clients. We are in a secular bear market and may stay in this market for 4 to 6 more years. What we have done to make our clients money is to buy and sell based upon a trading range. We have been selling at 9500 and buying at 7800. We are buying ETF's since they are cheap and can be traded intraday. I cannot guarantee that this will work, but it is one strategy that may pay off. Also, if you shoot above 9500, you can put a sell order in for 9500 and creep up just below the market so you do not sell prematurely.
